I have used mohair leeches, and they do work pretty good. The catfish like them though, and I have been getting way too many catfish after my flies. It doesn't seem to matter what I throw out there, they love the flies, or the way I retrieve them, I don't know which.

Black n Blue bluegill fly shown in the latest edition of Fly Fishing magazine. Black chenille tied like an ant, with 4-6 white legs extending from the body. Weightless, lead wrap the rear section, lead wrap both section, leave no, one, or two stubs of leg at the rear to indicate weight. Coat with head cement.

Too many fish LOL! Kelly, I have to give you the tiny violin emoticon I know, I know. Seriously though...two times I went out fairly recently...and it seemed all I could catch was catfish...over and over...and I was dying to catch a good bass...hehehe. At least I didn't get SKUNKED.
