I've rigged up several trailers including a pet spoon and several 1/8 ounce white road runners. I've attached them to a few poppers, a few divers, and a little george. Between them and the tiny black and chrome rattletrap I bought at Bass Pro today at lunch, sand bass beware! Seriously, thank you all for the great advice. Happy fishing

I HAVE HAD THIS HAPPEN TOO AND FINALLY, AFTER WATCHING ANOTHER FISHERMAN, FIGURED OUT HOW TO GET IT DONE. TIE A SMALL POPPING CORK ON WITH A 2' LEADER AND ATTACH A 1/4-1/8 OUNCE MISTER TWISTER TYPE JIG ON THE END. CAST AND LET IT SIT. POP IT OCCASSIONALLY ALLOWING THE JIG TO RISE AND FALL, GENERALLY THEY CAN'T RESIST IT.

Make giganto splashes with any Pop'R type baits. Anything in clear, white or chrome should get you bit.

Chunk it out there. Don't let it sit. Get that thing moving with the biggest splashes that you can make without the bait going under.

If you find that you're getting a bunch of fish deep hooked on the rear treble hook, move your bait faster. You'll end up lip hooking them rather than deep hooking them.

Use that Pop'R and I guarantee you'll get bit. I'd stake my reputation on it. Well, that ain't much....but you will get bit. laugh

The big Popping cork works too. I've used that before, but generally I had two jigs tied on the back. Pain in the arse to cast. I spent more time getting those things untangled than I did catching doubles. But, doubles were almost a guarantee. I'd stake my reputation on it.....hey....I just said that. Never mind. !!

Good Fishin'

Well Tomahawk said "I just want to catch some fish with my wife on the weekend." LMB is the perfect substitute for sand bass, especially if you are not getting bit.

"If this ain't a mess, it will do till one gets here."
