I have a small nonworking freezer I'm fixin to haul to the dump just thought I would see if someone might want it for a minnow tank. I will be at the CAT meeting tomorrow night if you want to switch it from my truck to yours.

Well I'm the one that grabbed it from him. Didn't work as stated. I plugged it in and kicked the compressor. Then it said to me - Bbbbbb-rreeummmmm. Now it's ice cold. It's bigger than my last one so I know it will work better too! Thanks agin buddy! I know my minners will be happy!

OK, regardless of what the heck he is talking about... I keep about 20 lbs of minnows in a horse trough. The old freezer was like a bar fridge freezer size and broke down finally. this one is about 5-6 ft tall. the small one i had, i drilled a hole in the side and had a pump pumping water through a tube coiled up in the freezer and coming out the other side cycling water through it to the bait tank and kept the water super cold like a chiller. this one is obviously way bigger. if i dont have to drill anything i dont want to, is there any ideas of a better way on yalls part? there is a pump in the tank that pumps water through a hose to the freezer and back into the tank to cool it off.also a carbon fish tank filter to keep the water clean... i have a UV sterilizer mounted on it as well, that kills any bacteria or unwanted pests, so i don't transport unwanted organisms (like plants and of course zebra mussels to other bodies of water- seeing as how i catch bait at other lakes and streams and use them later so i dont waist time baiting up before a trip.

Neat idea looks like it should work, have to remember that one may need it one of these days. Glad you got the freezer to work.
