Yep, the gamakatsu 208 series offset circle hooks are hard to beat. they are rasor sharp. Last I bought were 25 for $12 at catfish connection. They ain't cheap at $0.50 a piece but I don't lose any fish with em and they stay SHARP.

I will take my chances with our hooks anywhere, anytime, on any catfish, under any conditions.........I have seen these hooks hold up to massive flatheads that were caught on limb lines that were tied directly to a solid tie off point. I have handled blues in the Mississippi River over 70 lbs in fast deep current using extra heavy rods, 20 oz sinkers and 100 lb braid. I know of 3 bluecats over 100 lbs that have been landed on our hooks in the last 2 years. The track Record of the Team Catfish DOUBLE ACTION catfish hook speaks for its self.......

If you feel they are inferior I will gladly give you or anyone else their money back on any of our hooks. Just send um back for a full refund.....No questions asked.

Some folks choose Gamma, some Team Catfish, some Eagle Claw...Find one that works for you and stick with it. I hope you can find some hooks you like and enjoy using.

Opus, why the hate for TC? I can see if you are not satisfied with a product to contact them, and recommend other products when people ask for opinions, but why attack them? Just seems immature and counterproductive.
I have no connection to them, I have some of their products, but I do not use their hooks. I prefer gamakatsu. Just seems a little overboard to me....

Guess Im like a bulldog once I get ahold of something cant let go, and for the life of me cant understand people payin that kind of money for a hook.just call me thrifty,or cheap, seriously I like the ebay cheap hooks. reread TCs first response first said packageing made a mistake then said only 8/0 red hooks changed, thats what the whole thing is about, so no mistake bunch of double talk to me and then says thanks for clearin that up, WHAT DID HE CLEAR UP, thats why I bit into this like a bulldog

I have used the TC hooks for a while now, and have landed a blue over 100lbs, and a flathead over 50 on them without problems. Now on the flip side I have been looking for alternantive hooks because of the price. I personally do not like the feeling that I am losing a dollar or more each time I break off. I think that $1.00 a hook is to much, much less $1.50 each. I go through alot of hooks between guide trips and personal trips, and it adds up. For those of you looking for a quality alternantive to the TC hooks, Proangler tackle has came out with a cirlce hook that performs very well, and is affordable.

I started to say you can't put a price on confidence, But I tend to be thrifty too.

I'm curious to this question myself. I am a business man as well. Sometimes i have to explain to my customers why i charge what i do. It's just part of the biz. It's nothing to get mad about.

Also why have "bulk" orders if the price stays pretty much the same? Bulk orders are for the guides and serious fisherman that lose a lot of equipment. Can a deal not be made with them?

I'm not sure the track record would speak for itself if you add up they huge amounts of fish that have been landed on your competitors hooks. How many 40-100 pound cats have been caught on Gama, eagle claw, ect..

Not trying to stir the pot just want to know what makes these hooks worth twice as much your competitions. I know my customers would be asking!!

Is it because they are triple dipped and heat treated more than any hook out there? Or is it just what you feel like you need to sell them for to make a living? You being a spokes person for Team Catfish i think we need to know so we can make the right buyers decisions

My personal opinion is these hooks are worth it. They are they strongest hooks i have ever used. I still have a hard time believing someone straightened out one of those hooks. I can't compare to gama cause i don't use them, but i can compare to Owner circle hooks which have a much tighter circle which limits the size of my bait and owner is a much heavier hook.My hook-set success rate has gonna up 10 fold since i started using Team Catfish hooks, i have yet to straightened one out. I have had to cut my 65# braid when from being hung up. Neither line nor hook would give. BTW, Owner 8/0 Circle hooks are $1.10 each.

So i went into BPS Garland yesterday to get a few things real quick - i'm stocked up on the smaller hooks, but was curious and saw the TC black 8/0 are 3 for $3.00. Red 8/0 are 2 for $3.00

I figured, what the heck, i am fishing for big ones tonight - using big bait - wandered around the corner and got some Mustad 14/0 and mozied out.

Instead of the Team Catfish Circle Hooks you can always buy the Daiichi Wide Gap Circle hooks at $1.33 each about the same thing both brands manufactured and promoted by T.T.I Blakemore Fishing Group manufacturing conglomerate if you want to save a few pennies.
