6600 BCX didnt last 1 month for me. I have Abu 6000's, 5000's & 5500C3's that are between 10-20 years old and they are still used on EVERY trip from Saltwater to Downriggin for Reds or Catfishin and yes even the occassional Green fish trips. I would never waste my money again buying a BCX Reel for anything other than Perch Jerkin............... I agree with you 100% Bama for what it's worth..........

If you're interested.... I have a couple catfish reels that I dont need. I dont have pictures right now, but....

One is an older (good condition) Abu 5000 High Speed silver colored reel. It does not have a bait clicker. I'd like to get ~$20 for it.

The second reel is a regular Abu GArcia 5000 (red), and I modified it to have a bait clicker (parts off a 6000). I'd like to get $25 for it. Send me a PM if you're interested.

I spend most of my time between Carrollton and Denton.

If anyone is interested in the reels I mentioned earlier, let me know. I still have them.

Here is the reels you need to get, you won't find them any cheaper, I had a promotional code that would have been an extra 20% off, but it is expired, I was going to get 4 of them if it still worked, but I guess I will just pass this on and let someone else get them!!!

I bought a few from different companies and models. I have to say there isnt that many brands that I have found a reel ( PUN )
difference in.

But the Garcia 6500 x3 has really made a difference in them all. The bait clicker is really loud and it doesnt strain at all reeling in fish of all sizes.

I had a 6500 with the clicker. Traded it away for some AC work last year. AC guy saw it on my wall and had to have it. He even gave me a discount on his work. I just gave him my 6500 and the St Croix rod I had it on and he called it even. I regretted the trade so much, I went out and bought the same exact combo again. No more trading this one away. I have the Swedish made 5000 also. Love them both. They will be handed down to my son.
