I fish Sam Rayburn once a year. I used BoatLanes this past spring and was able to run from Stanley to the Dam and from the Dam up past St. Augustine, NO PROBLEM! I would have never taken that run without it, it won me $1600.00.
Since that trip, I see why Lance sells so many on Fork (I have one of those too and I'll be using it at 2:30 tomorrow morning when I start my guide trip IN THE DARK!!)

I have one complaint and it may be my fault. My Unit is a black and white and there are some waypoints on the chip that are different colors and you are not supposed to run there. I was on Sam Rayburn and ran using the chip and later found out that I had navigated a serious stump field luckily without incident. Other than that DEAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the Boatlanes chip!

If I am running through an area that is not marked on the chip then I just close my eyes...

Quick question on this, so just how "off" are the marked lanes on Fork? I thought about getting this just for Fork because I really don't want to replace a lower unit, but I see guys running the marked boat lanes at WOT. I'll probably get it anyway on all the feedback already, just curious how off the marked lanes really are smile

depends on where you are.every now and then, one will break loose and drift into the trees.

thats a little scary, but it happens, just gotta pay attention to what your doing

Deal! Used it on Fork, Rayburn and Toledo and it has saved my butt on Toledo bend with the bouys blown out of place. I know that lake and could tell the bouys were wrong and the chip was correct.

Well you all pretty much sold me on it!

I wish there was something like this for Amistad too. While most of the lake is super deep, there are parts that you run where you will go from 130+ft deep to 15ft instantly. I prefer to run the deep water and skirt around the various underwater islands etc. Since everything out there is rock, a marked route would rock there too. That's just me though smile
