Cast netting makes me more angry then anything. I was fishing at the sandy lake road dam this evening and watched a guy throw his net out and get a huge hybrid, he put it on a stringer of course. I didnt say anything, I probably should have. However, one day when I was down there, there were 2 guys who didnt speak a word of english cast netting and they were getting small crappie and using them for bait. I flipped when I saw that and called the game warden but i dont know if he ever came or not. I just try to do the right thing and I think we all should. Youre kidding me! They didnt speak english? I bet they were of French origin right? ha ha

get this, the other day i was out at em fishing one of the mouths of the creeks in shady grove and there was about an 5 ft john boat with a motor that i think i saw in a museum with 3 illegal for sure mexicans in it with no life jackets and a game warden comes up the creek, around all the logs, passes the 3 guys in the little boat, comes and fully checks me, and then goes back out the same way and he waves at the 3 men and they just look at him like they're terrified that he's going to check them....he didnt even think about checking them....WTF

I dont blame illgeals of any color to want to come over to America, I mean we are the greatest country in the world and probably have more to offer than there country does for them but that posses me off when they dont follow the rules and our government is extremely screwed up if they dont enforce them. Someone has to put there foot down eventually, its like we let a few come-over and now we feel like we have to do it for all of them. and IMO that work-permit thing is a bunch of bull s*** the government knows once they give them a taste-test they are going to stay for more. I think they do alot of jobs that most americans wouldnt want to do anyways but if we are gonna be mad at someone, its the government.

Yup sounds about right...I'm glad some of you are finally noticing that you(US citizens) are now becoming the un welcomes here in texas. Time to move the US boarder to Oklahoma they took over down here and it will never be taken back. Its to late you let them take over already. Welcome to the great state of Mexas aka northern Mexico!! You really want to know who's to blame..Its the employers that hire them that did it!!

is it gonna take a person who follows rules to shoot someone breaking the rules for the GW's to stop being scared and do their jobs!!! all these stories are ticking me off!!! I think that would scare the GW's even more. I think what should be done on a temporary basis is this: When you see someone committing rule violations, report them to operation game thief and wait for their response. If no response then go to the Game Thief website and contact them demanding to know why no action was taken. If they get enough "hate mail" from people like us then maybe they'll get the picture sooner or later, especially with all the reports of illegal activities posted on these forums. Maybe we can overload them into submission. From the Game Thief website: Poachers are stealing from you! Help stop the illegal hunting and fishing in Texas. If you have information which will assist game wardens in apprehending persons who are violating the hunting and fishing regulations of this state, Operation Game Thief needs your help!
Call immediately! Dial toll-free, 1-800-792-GAME (4263), any time, day or night and provide the following information to the Texas Parks and Wildlife police communications officer:
* the nature of the violation * the location of the violation * the name and/or description of the violator * a description of any vehicle or boat involved in the violation * any other important information which will assist in apprehending the violator
If you wish to remain anonymous, a code number will be assigned to you. You do not have to give your name if you do not want to. The more information you can provide at the earliest opportunity will increase the probability of and arrest and conviction.
Report illegal hunting and fishing call 1-800-792-GAME (4263). "This information will not be used for any purpose other than to attempt to apprehend the offender being reported."
"If this violation is currently in progress, please call 800 792-4263 (GAME) immediately."

The GW don't give 2 sh!ts about it. They proved that by not showing up to so many calls. As long as they keep checking the people following the rules a few times a day they think there doing there job. Its like the answer has already been write in stone..Leave anyone not from here breaking the rules alone. They are just trying to feed there family and its ok.

So, I guess that means you aren't going to participate? LOL I'm not sure why so many calls go unanswered but it would be nice to think that we could make a difference with enough people raising nine kinds of h3ll. Do you think the wardens joined just to harass innocent people? I don't think it's because they don't care either but rather it has more to do with this fact from the ogttx website: There are over 18 million people inhabiting 254 counties that encompass 262,017 square miles of land area, and over 3 million surface acres of water. Currently, approximately 450 wardens, including supervisory personnel, are responsible for patrolling this vast area for the purposes of enforcement of our states hunting and fishing laws. Maybe they need to hire more wardens or something.

I called 3 times this yr...I'll play along but it will be falling on deaf ears. Not if I called and said there was a guy out there in a I20 Skeeter cast netting for hybirds i bet they'd show up to ticket him....lol.. I think they will only ticket those they know will pay the ticket. You know people with fishing lic and registered boats.

I wonder what would happen if you called the game warden out...right there on the spot about checking the other guys. You're all legal and legit....he shouldn't be able to hassle you. It'd be interesting for sure.
