I watched a show on the gar. They have bullet proof body armor. They were tagging the gar so they could track it. They had to get out a drill and drill a hole through him to get the tag on it!
A dead Gar is a good Gar. Get those things out of the lakes!

You have an unfortuante outlook on a fish that can provide much more fight and sport than a fish people call big when it breaks the 5# mark.

Awesome fish I wonder how old it was to get to that size.
