Where and how are you catching these hybrids if you don't mind saying?
Fishing is always good, its the catching that varies.

HL&S, I noticed your BVFF logo, I came close to attending one of the meetings a while back, but something came up and I couln't. Anyway, I am writing to ask some advice on how and where to catch whites on a fly rod as well as large mouths. I have recently gotten into fly tying and think that I have tied some decent flies, but have yet to catch anything with one of mine. It is my goal to do this before I move back to the high plains area, which is in about 1 month, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Clinto, I can probably put you on some LM bass (early AM)and crappie (anytime) out at lake Bryan right up until mid May. George Bush Library is also another good place to flyfish anytime you have only a short time to fling the flys.

Hey HLS. Does the pond at the library have a good perch population. Someone told me 2 years ago they put those hybrid perch that get to eating size in there but I had forgotten about it until now.

HLS, Where on lake Bryan would be the best for crappie, and what patterns normally are the best. Again, I appreciate your help.

went out good friday morning, had a real good catch early. The BIG whites were up schooling at the dam between the rock island and the spillway. Lots of boats but we managed to get in a good mess. Wind came up and we went to the sand point at Yegua and got into some small whities and would get a keeper size about every tenth or so fish. We were using rattle traps, crome blue back. In front of the dam saw some big hybrids up from time to time hitting top water but wind was too high to get on em. Will do battle with them next trip. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.
