I buy everything on the debit card then classify it. I don't track untill the end of the year. However I know my BPS rewards points for this year are 198 and change.

I've thought about it, but I've also thought about what would happen if my girlfriend knew extactly how much I've spent on fishing over a year. The juice just isn't worth the squeeze for me. Don't want a paper trail. I get nervous as it is now when she goes out in the garage now. I've got the receipts for my rods and reels in a plastic drawer by the freezer.

Had my tackle bag swiped last year and had to file with my insurance. I figured out everything that was taken and priced it with Academy, Bass Pro, and others. My wife never saw the list, or the check. It is funny how things like that add up.

It's cheaper to just hire a guide every time you want to go fishing! LOL

I have no desire to know. I just know its enough to keep me sane. If I don't fish I am an even bigger arsehole than usual.

why do i have to win to claim the expenses? they let me claim farming expenses way past what i "win" there. the fact is, the effort to make money is the only requirement.

I keep track of everything I spend money on. As a youngster I spent way too much money I earned and never knew where it went. I hated the feeling. In the past 4 years I have changed my ways. I want to know where my paycheck went...bills, food, eating out, fishing, gas, lodging, ect.
