Hey guys I have a question for all of you that read or pay attention to the Posse page on a regular basis, I am considering hosting a Sandbass tournament on Joe Pool on the 26th of June it is a Saturday. I am thinking of charging $25 per boat with as many anglers as each boat will legally hold, with an optional $5 big fish of tourney buy in. Also there will be a fish fry after the tourney, this would be a great opportunity for all of us to get together and have a great time on the water. By the way it would be a straight pay out to the top 3, plus the big fish money. Please let me know if you are interested in participating in this event??

I am not a planner, but if I am able, I will enter. I'll let you know a little closer to that weekend.

My buddy and me headed out 5/22 and got on the lake around 6:30am. Fished until 9:30am. We caught about 15each. My buddy caught some pretty nice size sandies but we were just catching and releasing since we were too lazy to clean fish.

I went out on Sunday. Fished all day trying to get some crappie. Caught about 5. All dinks. Tied up under the bridge near Lynn Creek for a while. Then anchored near Firemans hump. Anchor wasn't holding and we drifted toward the point (Dogleg?). Caught a couple there.
Tried over near the other bridge, but nothing there.
Did I mention it was windy?
The wind made things a little difficult. I think it bothered the fish too. They sure didn't like our menu.

Well guys hit the water today 5/25, and boy it was bad! In fact today is the first time I have been skunked out there since last fall sometime around November. I didn't see any of the regular crew out there either maybe they are smarter than I am (probably so). I tried all the normal places used slabs, and tailspinners to no avail I only stayed out from around 4pm to about 6:30pm I bet if I would have stayed until dark I could have caught one or two but oh well that is fishing sometimes! I did mark quite a few fish between 30-36 feet of water but could not get them to bite. the humps looked like a ghost town minus the ghost's. No birds working no nothing strange afternoon to say the least, I will try and hit the lake one more time before the drunken idiot weekend gets here, I will let you guys know how I do. The best of luck and see ya on the water
