I'm not going to Name names but I've had it with this place. I broke a trolling motor cable Sunday an I'm looking for a replacement so I called this place and nobody answers the service dept. I understand they might be busy but i can't tell you how many times I've left this guy a message and never got called back. So I just waited a few minutes and called back. Guy answers and I ask for service dept and tell him I just called and if there was anybody I could speak to. He gets an attitude and says to leave a message. I tell him I'll just try smewhere else and he hangs up on me. I've tried over and over to ignore how rude they are and how bad their customer service is and I'm done with them. Now I have to go to Dallas instead of going 10 miles to them. Sorry for the rant but man people like that just piss me off!

I called Minn Kota yesterday more then 30 times. First call I got thru and was on hold for over 40 minutes and hung up. The rest of the calls I got a busy signal all day. Called today and got through after about 15 minutes and ordered my parts.

Stuff happens on the weekends and these places get slammed Monday and Tuesdays.

This is a local shop and from my experience it doesn't matter what day of the week it is with them. It just makes me mad to have to drive to Dallas when I could go 10 minutes away and get the same thing. I'm nit the first person to have this problem with them. There have been multiple posts on here in the past

When stuff like this happens, I try to remember I don't know what that person is dealing with that day. They could have been dealing with a death in the family, their kids could be sick, ect. I try to give people the benifit of doubt.

BUT YES, there are rude people on this earth! BUT remember Karma has a way of catching up with them sometime, somewhere!

right there with you. With most places customer service is not what it used to be, that's for sure.

And also there are only a limited number of certified MinnKota repair locations. I live in Mineola near Lake Fork and use On Site Trolling Motor Service. Had my MinnKota go out (under warranty)and Adrian's people really stepped and got me up and running again even though they had to order the part. They new how long it would take to get the part, etc. They are located at Lake Fork Marina. Regards, Bart Armstrong

Ronnie. That's not too far. My motor is a motorguide and I found the cable at southwest parts. They took care of me and had the cable in stock. I've already replaced it and will be back on the water tomorrow. They have earned my business and will take the extra time to use them again before I go back to the place I'm talking about. I really want to call the business out but I know there are guys on here that work there so I'll bite my tongue.

Allstar marine has the best customer service ever. Just take it to them. They have helped me out more then once with my trolling motor.

Yes. The shop in Dallas and Lewisville. They have helped me work out a warranty deal. They avhe also diagnosed a problem and fixed it on the spot. I brought them my trolling motor on Thursday and told them I needed it by Saturday for a tournament. They completly rebuilt it in less then a day. Even fixed the light that was burned out on the top. They are good peoples.
