They have a brand new pass that you need to get. If you launch at Ray ROberts you have to fill out a paper tag and write your membership number down every single time. ALso if you launch at isle du bois you have to have them print you out a temporary pass every single time. What a pain in the butt just letting every know since it is so popular right now.

It is a brand new deal. I launched at isle du bois yesterday and had to get out of my vehicle and go in to get the "new pass." She later explained to me the new rules. I told her that was going to be a huge inconvenince for the locals and she told me that they are just trying to figure out how often people use there passes.

Basically you have to fill out a slip just like you were going to pay the 5 dollars but instead put your membership number down. Then put the slip in the deal and put the other end of the slip on your windshield. Absolute beating IMO,

I noticed lots of vehicles with notes from TPWD under the windshield wipers at the Jordan ramp yesterday. Seemed like the only vehicles with notes were the ones with the state park pass.

Isle du bois ramp was closed at daylight Sunday with a line of boats waiting to get in so I went over to Jordon and there was one boat, pulled in, launched and fished. Put my Texas Parks on my window and went about my business like always.

the ramp opens at 6:00. Its ok right now but they will right you tickets soon for just putting your pass in the window. I just thought i would be nice and let everyone know before you get a ticket for not following the new rules.

There is no way they will ever be able to keep up with who did or didnt fill out the tag. You think they are going to go get the tags and then match them up to each vehicle in the parking lot to see who didnt fill one out. Hell they cant even keep up with the park maintenance.

Sounds like they just need to have everyone have the balls to stand together and refuse to do it. Is it not enough that we pay the high price to have the pass for "convenience"??? I'm bucking the system on this one!!!!

Interesting, no one told me that I had to fill out the slip when I went into Johnson a couple of weeks ago. I did have to go in and get the magnetic card exchange, but know one told me about the new method. They told me to take it out and they swipe it when you go in. Guess they were wrong?

Count me in on that deal. It makes the conveince of the pass absolutely pointless.

This is BS, that is one of the main points of buying the park pass is so you don't have to mess with this [censored]. I guess I will continue to use the old way until I get my informational note on my windshield. Maybe they should be spending more time preventing break-ins at the ramps instead of figuring out who is using the pass that was purchased.

I wasnt going to bring this up. I was never told anything about this from the people at Johnson either maybe you only have to do it at Isle dubois.

You got to be carefull at Johnson branch anyway, you never can tell when the might have that ramp shut down to use for bicycle race parking.
