Went out today and caught some solid fish on worms. I threw a Texas-rigged 7" blue fleck power worm and a watermelon w/ chartreuse tail Hags Tornado. Broke off about a 4 using a weightless pearl fluke in the reeds. They seem to like the worms most if you drag them back. For boat docks key on the shady side and on odd spots in the rock landscaping lining community areas.

Also with all the rain in the area watch out for logs coming down from the river, we saw one today that was easily 18' long and a foot thick floating in the boat lane.

Went on 5/16. Lake was a chocolate milk mess. Flowing like a river. There was a definite current. There was a solid strip of flotsam flowing from one end of the lake to the other. Thought the fishing would be terrible. In three hours got 3. 2 keepers and one dink. Fished the rocks around the main lake down from 377. Got the dink on a blue/black jig 'n craw. The other two on a weighted motor oil wacky worm. Just pitched em right up next to the bank in the rock crevices. Was a real lethargic bite. I was surprised to catch them in those conditions. When the lakes been like that before I've never had any luck.

Sure hope all the water moving through there moves that sand bar and huge tree by oak trail shores. Been waiting for some flooding for a few years. Good to hear people are catching!

I went on the morning of 5/16 just after the rain shower and all of my bites were aggressive. I was also fishing off the main lake in the residential areas with tons of boat docks. The only unfortunate part is every other pitch to a dock would result in getting torn up by perch.

Sounds like the GA didn't hurt us too bad. I need to get out there. Maybe a good choice for the holiday weekend.

Forgot to mention this. Had one 'bite' and thought, 'Wow, that is a REALLY small bass." Reeled it all the way to the boat. Lifted it up out of the water and it was a fairly large blue gill. Started to pull it up and in and right as I reached out to grab it, it let go and fell back in the water. It just had a death clamp on the head of the worm. The hook wasnt anywhere close to its mouth. Never had one with that aggressive of a clamp down before.
