And Motorguide is the better trolling motor because all the pros use it.

I think it's hilarious how he catches every fish...

He first rocks back in that goofy seat so far that you think he's gonna flip out of the boat. One foot in the air and the tip of his rod about five feet behind his head. Then the rod tip flops from one side to the other.

Then he gets the fish to the boat and drags it back and forth 43 times trying to get it to jump for the camera. Then, he hesitantly tries to lip it like a 6 year old girl.

Once caught, he has to lift that dadgum dorsal fin up for the world to admire for some odd reason.

Then there's the ol pat on the belly and calling the fish "you 'ol pot-bellied thing you".

All of the above cracks me up, on every fish!!!!

I think some of them are staged. Nobody has that many screw ups, and was/is a professional angler, no way!!

I'll agree that some are real, and maybe he's gotten clutzy in his old age, but some are fake, period.

Bill Dance was and is the real deal. That man could flat out find fish when he was on tour. I don't know anyone that would not make the money he makes endorsing that stuff, I don't care for his show but I sure understand what he is doing and jealous as all get out that he can make that kind of money that easy.
I have to work my butt of to make it and respect anyone that can make it easy.

I don't dislike the guy, but I don't think he's
all that good at fishing . Let's see him fish on Robert or Falcon tomorrow and let's see how good he does in comparison to you all.I must say that I do enjoy watching his TV shows

I don't know how many on here think they can out fish Bill Dance at Ray Roberts, Fork, Falcon or anywhere else, but unless Maybeit is a guide on one of those lakes, my money is on Bill.............

Hang your hat on this. He can do all the rod swingin, fin raisin and pot bellied callin' but in the end he is really good and it beats watchin cartoons.

I grew up in Memphis watching Bill Dance's show when it just ran on the local station. Met him a few times and found him to be a genuine nice guy. My Dad's HS buddy worked for Strike King and has nothing bad to say about him.

His show has evolved over the years. He used to fish a lot of the lakes in the Mid-South and his show mostly focused on the lake, conditions, etc. His show now is more about the bait and technique. Might be more in the infomercial category. I still enjoy it and would love to be able to fish some of those reclaimed phosphate pits. I understand many are closed but some are open - just an expensive proposition to fish.
