I like Shaw Grigsby  I honestly think he has more fun on his show than anyone else. After all the fish he's caught over the years, he still gets excited every time he catches one.

I'd rather watch the shows on WFN where they actually fish public waters and generally give some insight to what they are doing and offer real tips.
+1 to that statement. I have a helluva lot more respect from someone showing tactics on "real waters". You just don't get to see how many days of fishing it takes to get that show....and yes that many days of wearing the same clothes for the shoot.

If you ever take the time and read one of his books, he says that he started fishing private waters because of the public following him around and interupting the tapings.
I think his show if very informative. He shows maps of the water he is fishing, why he is fishing that spot, air temp, water temp, barameter, and all the tackle he is using. You can take the info that he gives you and apply it to your home lake

You just don't get to see how many days of fishing it takes to get that show....and yes that many days of wearing the same clothes for the shoot.
Yep, and all of this jerky camera production and music and jumping from scene to scene makes it very easy for them to make it look like one thirty minute fishing trip. I hate most of the fishing shows anyway now because of the music and stuff that is designed for A.D.D. type people. Just fish and leave the hip hop to other sports . . .

I'd like to thank you for being on TV back when there wasn't cable and 24 hr outdoors channels.
I'd like to thank you for the science you brought to the forefront of bassin when nobody else bothered to explain the anatomy of a bass and how that pertains to hitting lures.
I'd like to thank you for structure and cover knowledge you passed over the years.
I'd like to thank you for you shared knowledge on the food chain and life cycles of bass.
Bill pushed alot more when there was only a few to be seen on TV, but you either aren't that old, or......

Qualified for the Classic 8 times
AOY 3 times
Won 7 BASS events
I think he's paid his dues and earned my respect. For those who don't respect him, just how high is the bar set?

He endorses childrens toys as bass lures.
Not trying to stir things up any more (well, no too much anyway, but what "childrens toys" is he endorsing as bass lures? I have not watched him in a while but I do not remember seeing him use any baits that most other people are not using.
I'd rather watch the shows on WFN where they actually fish public waters and generally give some insight to what they are doing and offer real tips. Like has already been said, how may days does it take any of the guys to make a 1 hour TV show??

I agree its bs he only catches 5+ pound fish on private lakes, thatsthe only reason I dont watch it as much as I used to. I feel like hes cheating. But I do watch his show because he is very informative. Ive learned countless tips and tricks from watching his show. Like it was mentioned before he tells you everything that hes doing and why hes doing it. And also sometimes tells different ways to do it that will work to. True we could all go catch those big fish in his private ponds, But he is doing a fishing show!

And sorry, When he is fishing his own private lakes, I honestly dont think it takes him more than one day to film his show. Im sure he has a bad day now and then,,, but people he aint on public water, 0% fishing preasure. For the shows that are on real lakes,,Im sure it could take a few days to get some solid fish good enough for a fishing show.
