So are you saying that you think he really is hooking the fish on and then "catching" them for the show?

Bill Dance is puttin it in da bank ! Period! Nature of the beast is what you're seein there. If not him then who? Gettin folks out there all excited is a good thing overall. I think many of us have transitioned to a level of experience that will protect you from wasting your money on junky, gimmicky fads.

We all agree that we need attorneys but don't like to admit it. The ambulance chasers are just part of the deal.

Besides if guys are running out spending fortunes on baits just because they see them on TV shows I'm thinking they are gonna be in for a few disappointments in life.

I respectfully disagree with ya Fouzman. I promise you I'm not jealous of Bill Dance because of where he fishes. I know where some of the places he fishes. If he wanted to be such a pioneer and icon to the sport, then he ought to say at the end of his shows that you can certainly catch many more and bigger fish in private stock waters rather than the over fished public waters...

You got that right! I can tolerate Bill Dance's show, and I'll watch it from time to time.

Shaw Grigsby's show is just embarrasing. Its just 30 minutes of him squealing and squeaking. His voice gets so high that only dogs can hear him.

Whats funny, its assumed how much pressure Bills lake doesn't get. Any of the name droppers on here really know?

Its assumed I guess, that it must only take Bill about an hour of filming to get 30 minutes of footage.

I don't watch Bill Dance much anymore but I don't really watch many of the fishing shows. Main reason is too much advertisement on all of them. I do not know of a one that is not constantly advertising either by words of showing some particular product.

Sorta funny seeing all of the negative comments on here about Bill Dance and the way he advertises all products. At the same time I see all of these comments on how great the current pros are with their shirts that have so many sponsor logos on them that you can even tell what color they are or their boats with the wraps that hide everything except sponsor info.

IMHO, it's pretty much like Nascar on water . . .

Sorta makes ya wonder why all of these guys that can out fish Bill Dance on the lakes he fishes are not on the pro circuit already.

Think maybe these are some of the same ones that believe the pros never have a backlash, never miss a strike, etc, etc, etc,

He endorses childrens toys as bass lures. I don't really care where he fishes, it is almost fun to watch him do it.

He's just easy to poke fun at, nothing really against the guy.

I'd rather watch the shows on WFN where they actually fish public waters and generally give some insight to what they are doing and offer real tips.

Hey Hookem, respectfully answer this question: Just how many times have you ever seen another boat in the background on one of his fishing shows? Believe me, their not "pressure lakes" by no means.

I think most who dislike Bill are just jealous, because he's the longest lasting, most successful Bass Fisherman of all time (and the first of that generation to be truly successful at parleying B.A.S.S. success into a whole other venue).

Mostly a bunch of jealous folks that bash Dance and his shows. If these folks could they would be doing the same thing.

He can fish all the stock ponds he wants. He has proven himself as a tournament angler and a LEGEND.

If you haven't noticed most all of those TV shows are bait pimping...don't bash Dance because he is good at what he gets paid to do.

+1 to that statement. I have a helluva lot more respect from someone showing tactics on "real waters".
