Please help with these 2 reels... I cant decide. This reel will be used for an all around reel. This will be the only one i have. Dont care about the drag. Mainly smoothness and casting distance.

you are not really comparing apples to apples, pricing the e7 retails for 149-179 is closer to the sx which retails for 169 and I vote curado.

I have both.I lean to the STX. They are both awesome reels.I have learned not to stray from Shimano and Garcia reels. Most reels are fine when new, but those two brands are the ones that last.

I'd go with the curado. My buddy uses thes exclusively and I tried one and was pretty sweet. STILL wont switch from my Quantums, but if I did, it'd be a curado.

I got an e7 and it's the best reel I've ever owned! My fishing partners use Garcia and I've tried them but still go back to Shimano.

I've had problems with the Curado E7 and switched to Revo SX for my worm rod. The handle broke off on the 1st during hook set and I had to bring in the fish with my thumb on the spool. Good thing it was a small one. The same type of issue happened on the new one. Picked up slop in the gears and I sent it back. I do have one on my spinner bait rod and it performs well. Maybe it's just me?

I've got both of these reels and like the Garcia better. Feels better in my hand and seems to be easier casting. Just my opinion on the two.

the E7 is the best reel for the money. Shimano's reels are basically user friendly

IMO the Curado casts a little easier, the Revo is smoother on the retrieve and fits better in my hand.
I care less about casting (as long as a reel is decent) and more about the retrieve, so I lean to the STX.
I can't get a good grip on the Curado or Citica E's for some reason. Much prefer the Revo in my hand.
Depending on what you care about in a reel I see why this question can be polarizing...both are great reels.

I have both and I prefer the Curado. I think the centrifugal braking is much easier to use without backlashing, but possibly at the expense of casting distance. I also like the big knobs on the Curado. The Revo is smoother though. I also hate having to deal with spool pins when I am servicing my reels. Curados don't have spool-mounted bearings, so no problem there.

No question the Revo.
Look at the Skeet Reese revo, I like the oversize grips.
