They were catching fish on rattletraps saturday morning.Because of the popularity of whites and stripers,rattletrap prices are going up like gas.

Does Joe Pool Have Hybrids? The stocking report at tpw shows now hybrid stocking, and no stocking of any species since 2006.

@Inept_fisherman are you sure you were reading the right stocking report? I don't see anything on the tpwd website off the history of stocking hybrids.

Wish I could be out today, its too bad I don't have a boat. I could of went this morning on the bank though and tore them up but I stayed up to late since and woke up to late.

Well no sand bass today but caught a few crappie and catfish. To many speed boats/ jet skis in the fireman hump area. Tough to fish the area.

well guys I should hit the water sometime this afternoon, or tomorrow and I sure hope the sandies really turn on compared to how they have been the last week or so, I will give a report when I get home.

Well I am home from Joe Pool yeah the sand bass were biteing but didnt have too good of luck this time spent most of the day there but i just hope they just start picking up and biteing more

reddneck sorry about this morning, good to hear about the sandies biting but why no luck? were they schooling and not biting or what? Also didn't get a chance to hit the water today too many storms around here however I will hit the water tomorrow, and will report back when I get in.

yeah they were schooling but just wasnt biteing and yeah i got in just right before the storms hit and man they came in a hurry and it's not a big deal we got other days we can go fishing i'm planning on hitting the water wed and thursday

I went out yesterday after the storms and found the birds between the State Park and Dogs head. I hit them for about 1.5 hours, but could only get 5 keepers. The bite was really weird, they were schooling but they were really lazy. Most of them were just slapping the slab. I would get 3 to 4 nibbles before one would stick with it. And even then, they would mostly only have one hook in their mouths. Still fun though.
And oh yeah, the school was about 5 football fields worth in 42 feet of water.
