My personal opinion is that they are not built as well as they used to be. I didnt have a very good experience with their customer service department of the factory. Its hard to beat the customer service of family ran manufactures (bass cat, Legend)

They shure look nice,,how wide is the deck looks small on honey Hole tv???? pinesjunkie...the beam on All Legends is 94". The front deck will fish two people just as comfortably as any other 20+ boat. The boat is 20' 11"...and have the most stable ride in rough water of any brand today. Once you get some seat time and gain confidence in the boat you will understand what everyone is saying about these boats and rough water. The boat is capable of handling rougher water than you care to venture out in. The "hooking" issue is due to the fact that these boats are designed to grip the water in a turn, if trimmed properly in a sharp turn they will make a 180 degree turn on a dime. There is no slide in a Legend Alpha series.

There is no slide in a Legend Alpha series. All boats will hook. I had a Skeeter ZX300, hooked. I have a Triton 21X Series HP, hooked. Both times I was going 38 to 42 mph in semi rough water, went to make a turn and holy hell, here we go again. Legend makes great boats. They have set a standard that is unmatched in the boating industry. Only reason I do not have one is because I am a major tight wad!!! Get the Alpha 211 with a Yamaha SHO 250 or the Mercury 250 PRO XS. Both motors will push the 211 well over 80 mph. If you want to go for a test drive, let me know. I can get my hands on one any time.

Clint,
I am in my 5th Legend and none of them have ever hit 80 except maybe behind my truck. 75 or 76 is best for me.

I have found with my 211 that the faster you go in rough water, the better it rides. I used to slow down when it go rough now I give it more gas.
As to the hooking, I havent seen it, but the boat will turn hard without sliding whatever speed you are going.

Danny, Take out that 300 lbs of Gene Larew El Salto specials and you'll gain that extra 4 mph. LOL I really thought they were faster than that. Still a great boat! 75 is plenty fast in my book!

We bought one about three weeks ago. I restore Corvettes for a living. I am very picky. Boat is very nice! Lots of detail. I visited the factory. Boats are top of the line all the way. So are the people who work at the company. Starting with Randy. If you want a test ride let me know. I will be glad to take you out. We will be at the Legends Tourney this weekend. Boat is Baylor colors.

Great boat with a great finish out. I don't own one because it only has a 94" beam. I qualify that because I bought the Z520 due to that fact.
