The 1st Battalion Warrior in Transition is putting together a fundraiser for the Wounded Warriors on Fort Hood June 25th 2010
We are reaching out to our community of boaters to get volunteers who are willing to either fish the tournament with a partner of your own or sponsor a WT to fish with you:
The Tournament will be held June 25th 2010 on Belton Lake location Blora The tourney will start at 0700 and weigh in will be 1500! A cookout will follow the tournament.
The entry fee: Fishing with your own partner $50 / Fishing with a Warrior in Transition $25
This is a team format 5 fish per team. Prizes for 1st - 3rd overall sack will be gift cards to places such as Bass Pro, Academy as well as Big Bass!
If you are interested in fishing the tournament or sponsoring a WT please send me your contact information through a PM and you will be contacted back. We are trying to get enough boaters to sponsor atleast 20 Warriors in Transition so they can take part in this tournament. Fishing was very vital to my recovery from wounds suffered in Iraq and would like others to experience what fishing can do for their recovery.
TEXAS BOAT WORLD HAS VOLUNTEERED TO RUN THE WEIGH IN

We are working on setting up a link was out of town all weekend and working in the WTU keeps you quite busy, we have no affliation with Mike Nashif and this is purely a Fundraising tournament for the 1st Battalion Warrior in Transition here at Fort Hood.

Just one small suggestion and I don't know if your even capable of the change, but you might get a larger turnout moving the tournament to sunday. Basschamps is on belton June 12th and because of off limits many people could not participate in your tournament. I am planning on fishing the bass champs and would be more than happy to hang around an extra day to take a soldier fishing and i'm sure many feel the same. Just a suggestion.

You really do not want to fish this lake after a Basschamps T in my opinion.
I am sending a PM, barring any schedule conflict with work or life I will gladly take a Wounded Warrior out fishing.
