For small tanks....gimmeeuhh MEPPS spinner in OUGHT, NUMBER 1 OR NUMBER TWO.....with a squirrel tail dressing OR a bit of real earthworm dressing.

And make that SILVER or GOLD ....I like silver on sunny days and gold on cloudy days. I don't cotton to the fanciful colors...some folks do.....I don't.

The OUGHT size MEPPS silver Aglia is deadly with bits of crappie nibbles on the treble for big bream! cheers 'Specially late, just before darkness sets in. Me 'N Grandson can fill a 5 gallon bucket at Baker Park (Sherman) or Waterloo in Denison. Fast action even past dark but the snakes are really crawling now so we leave while we can see to step where they.........A'INT! thumb

****Sun sinking low....lines baited.....gentle south breeze blowing...you realize.........I AM! .

I'd go with a white road runner....I whack em on my dad's smallest ranch pond.

beetle spins and road runners, can catch high numbers but typically smaller bass and bigger bluegill

RoosterTail spinners, 1/8 or 1/16 oz. My three favorite colors from left to right.

Double dittos on Chuckwagon...no doubt about it...but I prefer the plain, undressed Mepps myself but either way number one go to pond lure!!

Anything Watermelon or Watermelon/Red. Lizard, fluke, baby brush hog, senko, etc. That should do the job. If it doesn't then there are no fish in there!!!

Can't go wrong with a grub. 1"-2" for panfish; 2"-5" for bass. My buddy slays 'em on a zara puppy.

My BEST ever in ponds have been

Buzzbait
ANY green crankbait
Frog
Poppers/Spinnerbaits

Seems to me that a LOT of topwaters work well, because small ponds are not going to be real deep.
