I see the lake as a tourist attraction.. If your going to charge 30 bucks to launch then your not going to fish it that often..Like I said my buddy caught over 15 fish over 5lbs but there are quite afew lakes within driving distance that can produce 30lb bags..

??? not really, there isn't a lake within at least 2 hours that can consitatly produce that... trust me i've fished them all in that area. Whitney is not consistant, granbury pat aquilla and benbrook just don't get there... Alvarado can but not in the numbers that others do... 15 dollars a piece to fish it with two people in the boat? where do I sign up and who do I give my money too

It would be fine with me if they charged $100.

Is this lake on any chip's? Like Navionics or Fishing Hot Spots?

I'd spend $30 to try it out!! If it's as good as everyone says, it's worth that ramp fee. My buddy and I spend $10 at Ray Bob all the time and that's the one that is questionable to me.

Hey there fellow Champion owner. Why are you spending $10 at Ray Bob all the time. Get yourself a State Park Pass for $50 and go anytime with 100 people if you want, use yours or your buddy's truck and boat, and go to any State Park here in TX. and do the same as many times as you like.noidea

You will need to find a plant employee to take you to fish from the bank and that fishing is Thurs - Sunday, 7a - 4p. No report of any smallies that I have heard. I will be out Friday (hopefully no thunderstorms) and Saturday.

If you take a buddy, $15 each isn't that bad.. Considering that going to Alan Henry on a weekend will set you back $11(only if you are a Lubbock resident).

Friday we had about 50 or 60 bass a ton of catfish and drum ,couldnt keep the catfish off of the lures. all and all a good day. Sunday started off slow, alot of catfish and drum and then about 1 oclock or so the wind picked up and we found the honey hole we caught over a 100 or so in a little over 2 hours, the biggest one weighted 6-2 with 4 others going 5 or better . i told my kid that was probably as goood as it was going to get fishing with me.We will back next Friday maybe we can find the big one.

No kidding. I caught 88 once in four and a half hours and that was pretty much getting a bite on every cast.

But, regardless of how long it actually took...it sounds like the fishing over there is awesome.
