I fished Lewisville Friday. I had the same things happen to me more or less. A wake board came within 20 yards of me along the dam as my cousin and I were working a school at the east end of the dam. We were easing around the boat show about mid morning and had the same thing happen mentioned earlier about someone pulling to within a fishing rod distance from our boat up-wind so that I had to troll away to prevent them from hitting us. Later, all alone in the trees I managed to land a just barely 18" hybrid and two yoyo's pull right up along side and ask how we are doing. Pissed at such rudeness, I say catching a few here and there and they laugh and drop their lines. almost right under my boat. I shook my head and told my cousin lets move. We fished a little while later and called it a day. Perhaps mid week would be a better time to try on that body of water.

Wow, quite an amusing (and horrifying) read here folks!! I used to think I'd like to try LL at some point, but it seems guaranteed that an average fishing trip will turn into a judging of "stupid human tricks". May patience be with you . . . . .

This is why I am so glad I fish during the week days and not week ends. The weekenders seem to be so clueless.

I think the Blue Lady may be learning some. Maybe someone has talked to her. She seemed to stay on the outside edges of the boat show I was in. The only time I saw her in the middle was when the crowd had moved to where she already was.
There is hope for everybody.

I am one of the asian guy fish out of Lewisville every chance I get. I do respect all fishmen and women out there. Not all asian will cut or troll their big motor through school of fish. I been fishing at Lewisville more than 5 years and I have seen other people done it too.
I am the asian guy with a blue nitro with silver 75hp.

Megabaysoup I have seen you out there but I didn't know it was you!
We are usually in a copper Lund 16' classic.

See ya out there!

I feel more like I do now than I did when I first got here!

I have to respectfully disagree with the pics. It's disrespectful to ridicule a lady behind her back and post pics with Tx registration numbers visible for all. Yes it's public information, but she isn't causing a danger to anyone, just trying to enjoy a day outside. If you see a go-fast boat ripping thru at close range, drunken or illegal behavior, then go ahead and post the pics, report them to police, whatever.

Harv - I was fishing at the dam too and heard/saw your exchange with the 3 Asian guys. They didn't do anything wrong or ill mannered. They were moving at idle toward the dam and letting the South wind drift them back thru the schools, same as they/we had done all morning.

We are all fishing in close proximity, it takes patience and a friendly demeanor by all.

I fish Lake Conroe outside Houston a lot and I would swear you guys are all talking about that lake. I think with all the watershiers and jet-skis people have forgotten common courtesy on the water

I agree with you as well Tex, however, more than one person has attemtpted to tell her how to do things. Two weeks ago this lady followed my wife and I to the point that we just threw our hands up in the air and simply left the lake. She did notice we were irritated but was only concerned in catching fish. On one occasion that morning we were on the edge of a school and in the misdst of a cast she pulls in front of me about 20 feet away. Son after this I told her how to catch fish and even offered to give her some artifical baits but she declined. So what do you do? She frequents the lake often enough to know who catches fish and she follows folks around. As for the nationality of fisher folk I mentioned they were Asian because they got so close to me I had to put my leg out to keep their boat from hitting mine. But I also agree with Harv, keep your distance a bit. I understand all fish diffrently but respect for some degree of personal space is just a courtesy. I think there is a stipualtion in Texas for that. Fish at night it is cooler and less people on the lake...

XYZ - I would get irritated too if someone followed me and intentionally disrupted my fishing -enough said. I probably shouldn't have posted earlier, but the guy who spoke to the Asian boat also hollered at me about disturbing his school and I thought he was out of line in both instances. There was enough fish in scattered schools for everyone, no need for him to crowd in on us, then complain!

Very good point Tex if that is the case I agree 100%. I usually do not care who gets close to me I am just afraid of getting snagged by a lure. As for hollering at folks well, I believe there is boat rage as there is road rage and really I do not want to get shot or beaten up due to schooling sandies. Now let's fish, I do want to meet some of you on the lake for lunch on the lake in the near future.

Guys, dont forget fishing is suppose to be fun and enjoyable. If you fish on the weekends, when birds are working, or fish are schooling then you must expect alot of boat traffic. Just remember that the same idiots that you cuss on the roads own boats also laugh be careful and fish on. If the lady is breaking the law then call TPW, if people get to close ask them to ease up and give you a little space. I deal with people following and fishing my buoy all the time. I try to be a respectful as I can.I think this post has went far enough..... Now we are arguing with each other on the TFF about other people.
