Maybe ill try some of this Secret 7 bait. Does anyone dare venture that it is better than Danny Kings punch bait?
There is no such thing as "too much" fishing.

Uh oh, here we go. Have only used Danny's stuff once and didn't catch anything, so without giving it a fair try, I really don't have a personal opinion. However, I've seen a lot of negative comments on here to the effect that "it's not what it used to be" and issues with the way the company is run. Danny apparently doesn't make friends everywhere he goes. I've never met the man, so just passin' along some of the chatter on TFF.

so circle hooks are a myth? ... they were invented for catch & release in salt water ... when swallowed they are supposed to not hang in the gut, but pull out & then hang the corner of the mouth
could it be that all these hybrid circles in fact do not work like a circle at all?
regards albertking catfishing is now an industry ... it's best for the industry to eat baby catfish

You'd be surprised how small of a catfish you can catch on large hooks. The only problem I've had with bigger circles on smaller fish is they occasionally hook through the eye. But then again I usually eat them anyway.
People and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

If they are gut hooked, it sounds like you are waiting too long to set the hook. Keep your rod in your hands and keep the line taught. When you feel a steady pull, set the hook! If the rod is away from you, and especially if the line is loose, you will gut hook quite a few. Of course, if you're keeping all of the fish, it may not matter if they're gut hooked.

DK's is about the best you will find in this area on a retail basis. If you dont catch fish on it where your fishing, you wont catch any on S7 either cause they ain't there. Maybe ill try some of this Secret 7 bait. Does anyone dare venture that it is better than Danny Kings punch bait?

Nice Catch! Great practicing CPR
Hen scratch works soured or cracked corn in a pinch or mix with Milo. Instead of Burlap sack Try Putting Soured Scratch in a 2-5 gallon bucket with lids drill - holes in the sides and bottom place a brick for weight in the bottom. Attach 30-50 ft of cord and jug with name and date place whoever you want then recover before going home no trash left in the lake.
Myth not! Circle hooks do work great for catch and release for freshwater fish cats, stripers, trout, ..! Try switching to 1/0- 3/0 Gamakatsu Octopus Circle Hooks for channels will cut down allot on the gut hooking! 1 gut out of a 80 (most of the time it is just in past the mouth not a true gut hook But I still count it as a gut hook in my records I keep ) if your gutting more switch brands of Circle hooks. Only hooks I use for Cats or Circle hooks no treble or J hooks!
Gamakatsu, Daiichi, Owner,,, brands to start with
A Cheap Bait tube for dip bait aquarium air hose cut in 1 to 2 pieces
Do not give up the Shad!!!!!
To the Boat Captains out there , nothing like a bunch of little undersize or slot swimmers floating on top with treble gut hooks after you been through before with clients! Nothing against good Captains I know a few from Texas to Canada!

Maybe on the retail market, as in Wal Mart or Academy, but I have tried it a few times and it doesnt touch Sure shot in my opinion, from my experiences.

Have heard that same story on here over and over again, so decided to order some S7. Got it in the mail today and am anxious to try some out. Will probably fish it along side shrimp and see how they compare.
