++++++++UPDATE++++++++

Mr. Puckett sent me a PM. I tried to call him but he was already gone.

As stated in my longwinded PM reply,

In a nutshell, I had a stressful day and posted while in traffic on my way home.

While I maintain I have not gotten the best service there, I did express that the appropriate thing to do would have been to call and air my feelings to him first. In posting as I did, it gave him no chance to take care of it.

For that I apologize.

I will await his reply and I am sure he will have items that I have to have in the future.

Kyle

++++++++UPDATE above++++++++++

I have been ignored for the last time at Fishin World.

Admittedly, I do not look like "money" when I walk throuh the door but I did go today looking to buy a rod. Two guys were working and were so enamored with a customer on his way out that neither could pry themselves away to ask if I needed help.

This is not the first time I have been ignored there.

Southwestern Parts here I come.

Folks need to be aware that we fisherman communicate these days. Forums like this can make or break you. Basic customer service goes along way. This reminds me of all the wonderful comments that were made last week about Lake Fork Tackle. They received positive remarks because they know how to treat their customers.
If the folks at Fishin World are slippin they better get it together there are a million places we can spend our outdoor dollars!

I haven't been to Fishin World in a long time, but the few times that I went there I don't think anyone said a word to me.

Academy sports and Walmart are not bad places to shop for standard brand tackle

I love Academy but I went to look at the TFO rods.

I hear you FZ1

Met my BIL(doctor in his scrubs) there once and they almost knocked me out of the way to get to him.

He talked his ears off and then bought nothing.

I bought while he talked.

I have bought a couple of boats from their boat side, but never bought anything from the tackle side. The boat side had good service and good quality.

I prefer it when the 'sales team' leaves me alone!

At Fishing World they're pretty quiet unless you ask a specific question, then you're in for an earful.

Got no problems with them!

Key Puckett has always been courteous and informative to me. fish

Fishin' World is great! It may be a little pricy but they have the best of everything and they are local.
