Sorry, can't decide on just one lure. As close as I can get to just one, would be a plastic worm (many makes and sizes though.

the other is easy: any decent spinning reel, with any decent medium/heavy rod, along with 30# power pro.

Depends how big of fish we are targeting? If I had to pick one I'm going with

Loomis GLX 7' , believe its 843, MH.
Shimano MG50
Seguar Invisix 14lb or 15lb whatever it is I pay $25 a spool for.
Grande Rattlesnake watermelon red , If not than wetermelon Candy 10" Powerworm sounds good.
