100' 12/3 cords are $63 at the home depot store. Get you a few good cords and you wont have any problems.

They're a good thing to have period, you'll be suprised how much you'll use them once you have them.
They last forever unless someone steals them. I've had that happen at Ceder Creek once, couldn't believe the sorry sap-suckers stole my cords !!!!

Depends on how many amps ur charger pulls i would use #10 at 225 feet because of the voltage drop u can go to this website http://nooutage.com/vdrop.htm and type in info it will figure up voltage drop for you. I would not want to burn up my charger!! my two cents I am an electrician!!

45 amps @ 12 volts = 540 Watts

540 Watts / 120 volts = 4.5 amps

Lowes has 250' roll of of 12/2 with groung for $73.67. Add about $7 bucks each for the ends and you got a 250' cord for less than $100. Will be a bugger to roll up but if you are not doing every day it would be fine.

Seems to me a high quality, proper gauge ext. cord/cords would be the way go just due to the ease in rolling them up. I dont think multiple cords would be a problem as long as they weren't too large of a ga..I'm a trim carpenter and sometimes we have to use multiple cords to reach the table saws and things..Dont have any problems because we use big, small ga. cords...

What about 12/2 w/ground S.O cable?

It's plyable enough to roll up and haul around, and if you goto a place like Elliott Electric, or Dealers they keep it on 1,000ft rolls and you can get them to cut it to any length you want.

They will have all the female and males ends as well.

This might help you as well, it gives you a little help on voltage drop and tells the formula on how to calculate it.
