 Lake Lewisville Hybrid Report 4/23 & 4/25

Okay, Very few reports on Lewisville from the weekend...here is my report (with photos) from Friday evening (light wind), and Sunday morning (15+ North wind). Water Temp was 66-70. Friday evening we caught 10 Hybrids...my 7 year old son is pictured below with a 6 lb Hybrid caught on a large gizzard shad.  On Sunday, we were barely able to stay anchored on the main lake early, but the Hybrids were there and we caught around 20 in various spots before 10am. Pictured below is an 8 lb Hybrid from Sunday morning.  I purchased a new hand-held digital scale last week and had it certified, so I will submit photos and paper work for the junior record for Lake Lewisville.  Here is a link for a video (just click on picture) of a quick "catch and release" video of a 6 lb Hybrid in the wind on Sunday morning.  Brian

Good job putting the kid on a big fish! Went out myself today - Monday 4/26 - and the wind was about .... oh, 25mph. Wouldn't be surprised if someone told me it was 30 or more.
Lots of big hybrids on cut shad & live shad ... couldn't buy a bite on any artificials. Even tried drop shotting & carolina rigging of sassy shads. Final tally was 23 hybrids (smallest was 20") and one really ambitious sandbass.

Holzer,
"American Weigh Scales AMW-H110 110 Lb Hanging Scale" is the scale I purchased after searching this board for the information. I then took it down to a place called Aldinger Company in Dallas (near Mockingbird & 35E). They charged $60 to certify the scale.
