Jonathan,
Thank you for calling me about ordering two MINOMAX'S. I've shipped them out today at the discounted price we agreed on. Send the check to the corporate address listed on the 'contact us' page of the website. I hope your brother enjoys his gift.
Thanks again for the order, I do appreciate it.

John,
I can't wait for your product to arrive. Will definitely give it a test run as soon as i received it.
Thanks again for your great service & accomodation.
BTW, I bought that $7 minnow trap at Walmart last week, put bologna in it, dipped it in the lake for about 2 hours on both trips and only caught 1 minnow in it.

sethook,
Thank you for the order, I do appreciate you trying our product. Unlike minnow traps, seining for minnows is an active process instead of passive. If you are at an area where after several attempts, you come up empty, you move to another location and try again. I've seined on one side of a playa lake and only caught one or two after a dozen throws. When I move to the side of the lake where the breeze was in my face, I caught two or three per cast. I realized that the wind was blowing the food to that shore. The time of day and water temperature are also important, morning and late afternoon they are more active, with warmer waters being preferred.

TDDNT,
Thank you for inquiring as to colors other than white. We've been in contact with the supplier of the netting and it does look like we'll be able to start out with a drab green and possibly add some other colors, maybe brown or tan, in the future. It'll be a couple of weeks before we can work them into production though.
If you have any color suggestions, please let us know.
John

For shad I use a cast net, but Ive never had any luck catching minnows in one. The best thing Ive ever used for minnow is a minnow trap baited out with a corn-meal paste (like hush-puppy batter). It catches perch pretty good too.

I got two aluminum poles that were used to brush swimming pools that people were throwing away. They were cut to 6 foot long and two eye bolts installed per pole for the seine to be attached. I can seine for minnows by myself or have someone to help. The best place is boat ramps and beaches. Ghost minnows will come back in to the ramps as boats are trailered or launched.
