My partner and I have been known to throw out some "dummy" buoys on some hybrid trips. It's funny to sit back and watch. We will throw out 4 or more brand new looking, bright flourescent orange markers out about 200 yards from out spot. Within 15 minutes, we will have anywhere from 6 to 10 boats taking turns making circles around our markers. We have even seen many a boat troll so close to our markers that they actually suck them up into their prop!

They recognize our boat and just sit back and wait for us to find them before coming in and start fishing right beside us.

We sometimes will go and find a small school, throw out our bouys and then go all the way across the lake to where we know the bigger fish are at. Those bouys will keep a 1/2 dozen boats busy for a while before they figure out we aren't even there.

We don't mind sharing our "found" fish with them. It's just when they hook our markers with their lures and pull them in their boats or suck them up in the props that we get upset.
