meet at the ramp at 6:00 to 6:30 fish at 7 to 3 or 4. we havent worked out the particulars.

That works for me if I can get up that early, what do you think the entry fee will be, and is it per 2 man team or individual stringers!!!

My suggestion... do like $25 per person.. max 2 person teams.. Optional $5 or $10 big fish pot...
3rd place -- gets money back ($25)
Then the rest of the money will divide up 80% and 20% for 1st and 2nd.
Big fish gets 100% big fish pot... no more than 10 rods per boat (per team) or on the bank.
Chumming allowed. Fishing starts at 7am. Ends at 3 pm with weigh in starting at 3pm must be in line to weigh by 330 pm.
Weigh in biggest 10 fish per team.
Rod and reel only.
I am sure I am missing something... these are merely suggestions of course.

WW we are not doing a regular tourny.too much hassle in the time we have to get ready. just an informal heaviest stringer pot.

I'd do it like this....but it ain't my rodeo....
10 fish per boat...$25 entry fee per boat....50% to the heaviest stringer and 50% to the heaviest fish. Second place is the first loser.
Meet at the ramp between 6 and 6:30, once you pay you can start fishing. Weigh in at noon.....keep it short so more people are willing to fish with their kids, etc....too long and it becomes an all day affair.
Plus...we can get to eatin quicker.....that is the point, right?

I like the idea of making it shorter... weigh in being at 12 or 1... but I dont like the 50/50... I think it should be like 75/25.

Tom,
This was your idea, so I say nail down what you want the plan to be, and post it. Otherwise, you'll get 100 suggestions on how it could be done.
Make it a friendly good time. I'll have both my kids with me, so I'll probably just bankfish, and maybe help out w/setup/cooking/etc.

Hard to do a big fish pot remember there is a slot limit on this lake ( from 30" to 45" ) has to go back, but it could happen in May there are still some bigguns out there swimming around then!!!
