Three day report. Sorry if I dont remember everything , but I will try. I have been very busy fishing and doing other things. I am not going to report numbers, because some think I am lying or bragging. But on all three days, we caught a lot of fish 5-11-06 Had guest Kevin and his dad Keith out for some afternoon wave riding and fishing Lets just say it was a tad windy out there that afternoon. Started out at 3:00pm and finished about 8:00pm. Actually thought about canceling this one because of the high N winds. Went out for about 1 hours and we were having a meeting to make an executive decision on the water after getting out of the wind , and you know Hubbard, there is not many places to fish out of a N wind Well, like the dummy fishermen we all are , we decided to fish and see if the winds would lie down. Started back over on the west side and found fish in 18-22 ft water. Caught a good number of fish there, werent many boats out either When that died down we headed south, and found fish stacked up in 27 ft water. Moved farther south and they where in there thick. Ended the day with *** fish caught . All fish caught on TNT slabs, water temp was 72 with N winds at 15-25. 5-12-06 Had guest Lex and his 2 business friends Brian and Jeff for some morning fishing Friday. Started out at 7:00am and finished around 12:00pm. What a total difference a night makes. Went from 25 mph N winds to ZERO. It was tough fishing in the morning. The highlight of the morning was Jeff hooked onto about a 20lberbuffalo that is. It was screaming on the spinning rod and light tackle. I dont remember if we went south or west right after that. Anyway, found fish in both sections of the lake. I think it was west then south and back on the west side. Found fish in 28ft water on the south end humps and we had them all to our selves for a while. Seen good buddy Ruben out there. Had my marker buoy out and started catching fish. That lasted about 15 minutes..then here come the rest of the gang I guess you can see those buoys from a mile away when the water is so calm. Left there and headed back west when the wind picked up, caught fish in 17-25 ft water for the rest of the afternoon. All fish caught on TNT slabs and few other variety , water temp was 74 with S wind at 0-10. We ended the day with *** fish caught . 5-13-06 Had guest Paul and his brother in law Paul ( PD) out this morning. Weatherman said wind 5-10, more like 15-20 when we started. Once again it was a little slow this morning. Checked all the usual spots with little success. Found fish once again in 18-22 ft water on the west side. Did my usual run of spots, found some fish south and most on the west side. It wasnt gang busters but it was steady. A lot of boats out there this morning. I wont tell what PD used on his Fly rod to catch fish with Seen fellow Tff member JTEXAS out there. Paul wanted to learn the lake a bit, so took him around and pointed out some spots. Seen a couple of guys catching sandies way south on live bait. I will be glad when the full moon goes away, it will make fishing a little better in the mornings. All fish caught on TNT slabs, water temp was 74 with S wind 5-20. Ended the day with ** fish caught and released. I would like to thank all the guest I had the last 3 days. And also tell my friends that I am sorry that I have been so busy and we will fish soon

We saw you out there JV. We (my dad FowlTrouble and brother) were out there this morning in the camo jonboat. With the wind already blowing at 7am we quickly headed to Robertson Park and saw a few boats pulling away. Headed then to the jetty area, but the wind got going good so we heaed to the east side by Terry Park. Did no good there so we went south and found a boat show, with others catching a few here and there. Still no fish for us so we checked a few more spots but nothing. Wind really got going 20-25 mph so we headed back to Terry Park area. Coulndt really get out of the wind there either but we managed to find a nice school that blacked out the graph. We caught ten in about 10 minutes, but took on a lot of water doing it. The wind pushed us off the school and we never found them a again. Due to the wind conditions we headed on in about 10am.

Good job John. I bet you could catch fish in a hurrican on Hubbard. With baseball and work I have not been back out since the tournament. I am planing on dragging my boat to work Monday and going around 5:00 or so.

Man, you guys need to quit letting other people bug you about numbers caught. You know the truth, and we know the truth - bottom line! Good seeing you out there today. After getting to the boat ramp and realizing I had no batteries for my aertor and then realizing that I had no boat keys I knew it was going to be a rough day. Varner's right, forecast was wayyyy off. I bet winds were gusting over 20 at some spots. We started our day off with a few caught on the south side of the jetty, then a few more on a south hump, then a few more back at the jetty. Had a couple of doubles on today, but other than that, fairly slow. I guess the full moon has more of an effect than I thought. The good news is - we got to go fishing today and we ran into some good guys on the water (Varner and JTexas included )! And that makes it a success. Good fishing to all!! - Josh
When they had done as He said, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. Luke 5:7

Was out on Hubbard Thursday afternoon and then again this morning. Did really well both days. Caught a bunch of fish down south on Thursday in the wind. I guess that was Varner out there with us because I didn't see another boat. That strong north wind had those fish going pretty good. This morning I tried catching some on top early and it paid off. Put my old college roomate on a 5 lb hybrid on a topwater plug and he had a blast. Caught 2 more keeper brids as well as some sandbass and undersized hybrids on topwaters. Then moved south and coaught some more on shad. Finished the day east of robertson and had some all to ourselves. Left them biting and left the lake at noon with a lot of memories with an old friend and a sunburn!

Yes, it is actually faded black. I assume that is you in the Trophy CC. Did you fix your trolling motor rope? I hate it when that happens...especially when it is windy.

Dang John Boy, I know your tired, heck im tired from just 1 day (all day today) Fished the ACATS Catfish Tournament today and caught more hybrids than catfish(almost ) Drifted the Orchard with cut shad and caught 10 legal hybrids in 1 drift(no Cats )Oh well, had to go to plan B and still caught more small hybrids(what's up with that)on the rocks. After the morning shad run was over the kitties came back to play, too bad the the hybrids were bigger Great report Big JV.
