There was a whole lot of crazy exotic stocking back in the 70s and 80s that has tapered off to none.

I imagine there is a story behind all that.

1993-94 they stocked a TOTAL of 13 brook trout. Who even keeps track of that.

It's more than the catfish would do.

Hey Robin,
I seem to remember the term "triploid" used to describe the introduction of asian grass carp into some well known lakes in North America. These fish were introduced to get milfoil under control, without reproducing and getting out of control. And I seem to remember later hearing how nature found a way. The fish managed to reproduce, resulting in serious collateral damage. I can hardly imagine being completely miffed that Peacocks might take over a river or lake. But, the term "triploid" still scares me.

Good point Gray. Reference "Jurassic Park" While only a work of fiction, the idea that they could find a way is not out of reach.

Hmm, what lake would we be willing to give up to the peacocks????

Braunig or Calaveras sounds good to me. What other powerplant lakes are south of that point?
