no "bait" necessary... the brush is bait in and of itself.

Simply put; if you put any kind of "bait" on a brushpile, you just ruined it for crappie fishing (until it's all gone). Now if your goal is catfish, carp, or any of the other bottom feeders....your thinking is correct. Otherwise, take Darrell's advise; use a crappie call  Listen to this man...he knows of what he speaks.

i have 4 brush piles fairly close together that are otherwise equal. i will use some bait at 1-2 and compare results. thanks for the inputs.

Im just trying to get some bs going this site is gettin boring .Looks like with all these fisherman we could get some good ahhh stories going .Heck make up something.Start a rumor something.Next 2 weeks I got road trips with Kevin and Barndoor I will have plenty of stories some might be true and some might not.Ha Darrell
