I know at one point there were some big LMB's coming out of that lake.

Kimberlin spent some big money in fisheries management on the section of canyon that he dammed up.

Sometime around a flood in late 2006 or early 2007, Kimberlin lost the first 30 feet or so of the dam and inundated Loving Creek with a massive rush of water that barrelled down into the Brazos and delivered a good portion of his Florida strain largemouth and shad forage base into the river system.

There was a noticeable improvement in the overall fishing around that locale in 2007, 2008 and 2009.

That being said, I have heard no word on how the fishing has been at his place since then.

I ahd the opportunity to fish it year before last....great looking lake and we caught some really nice fish. we took our own full-size bass boats and ahd a great day...largest went 8 lbs. if memory serves me correct. At the time the lake record was a 12 something. They raised the fee afterwards and I haven't been back.

The fee is $200 a day per person. It is a great lake with lots of big fish.

SALEX, is Kimberlin ranch part of your club membership? I am seriously thinking about joining. I live in the Burleson area and was wondering what lakes nearby you would recommend trial fishing to get me hooked. Thanks

Kimberlin Ranch is not one of our club lakes. We have 52 propeties in Texas to fish. We just added a new one yesterday for a total of 3 new lakes this month. I will PM you.

I read the recent biologist report on this lake and the lake is in great shape.

Ken A. How did you do?

Lots of fish. Friday was not the best conditions in my opinion. High blue skies and lite north winds. We had 30 fish between 1-5# with most in the 1-2# class. tons of shad and huge bluegills. I shoulda went to Fork.

Ken,

Fishing has been tough most everywhere. High pressure and bluebird skies are not helping. Looks like things might change this Sunday or Monday.

I fished Johns pond years ago but have lost the contact info. Do you or anyone else have any booking information like maybe a telephone number or email.

Regards,

Clay

I am a young kid and I bass fish a lot and I catch fish pretty much every time I go. But the problem is in the past 5 years my biggest is only 3-4 pounds and was wondering if you have any ponds and tanks near Lubbock Texas. Can pay but not looking for outrageous prices. any tips or areas around Lubbock would help me a lot.
