I have been catching at the State Park in 2 foot of water, using a jig under a cork. Unfortunately mostly Joe Pool specials 9 3/4 inch long crappie.
The big ones are in there. You just have to find them. Every year about this time I alternate between Lloyd and the state park. It takes some work, but they can be found.
