Cedar Creek White bass and Hybrid Striper
Tournament May 22nd
1.) Eligibility- Each contestant must hold a valid Texas freshwater fishing license.(with exception of those not required by law to have one.) There is a limit of 4 people allowed on each team. Boat captains must comply with all state boating regulations.
2.) Fees and registration: Entry fee is $50.00 per boat. On site or pre paid registration only. Registration will either be prior to the day of the tournament or of the day between the hours of 5:00am-5:45am. All persons aboard a competing boat must be registered with tournament officials. Here are the rules, date and time. Please remember that this is a family fun tournament. If you are a hard core tournament fisherman this might not be the tournament for you. I like to do the white bass tourneys because it gives everybody an equal chance. I will run this the best I can. I am not a professional tournament organizer. Please bring the kids if you have any. The cost is per boat, not person.
May 22nd,2010SAT)

What is the organization/group/charity that is putting this tourney on? Or is this just something you are doing as a individual?

this is something that we put togeter last year because no one was holding any tourneys on cc. I also did this the help our friends at fishermans warf marina because they were new owners and wanted to help promote them. Also finny tribe in gbc donated some nice tackle packs to us last year. However this year i have become part of a group that holds meals for hungry people in athens texas. All proceeds( which wont be much) will be used to help with a meal to feed 600 people. also i was going to ask that any fisherman that dont want the fish they catch that day would be willing to donate them to us for a fish fry for these people. Yes we will clean. So its just for fun and does have a charitable cause at the same time!

you can ice fish!

We had a great time last year. I agree with Jason...that time of year the fish are extremely active and everyone should have limits by 10 or 11a.m.

Last year we had our limit of sandies by about 9a.m. and ended up going crappie fishing and got a 4 man limit also. Ended up bringing 200 fish to the weigh in. Bad thing was trying to find the top fish to weigh in...all were squished!!! wink
