I hear from most of the old timers that there are no more Blues in Braunig, but looking at the records this morning, I noticed that a new Blue record was caught last month at over 30lbs.

Braunig Records

I have never caught a Blue on Braunig and Marvin told me he hasn't either. I think they were there at one time but don't know what happened to them.

They did stock them in Braunig, but it was in 1986 and 87. But, that is more recent than when they stocked blues in Cally, which was 1969, 70 & 73, so......

Lets put a bounty on the blues!

First one who catches one and post a picture wins the prize!

Haven't figured out what the prize is yet, but maybe a half used jar of Big Marv's might be worth it!

Whataya think?

It's interesting that Choke is mainly a Blue cat Lake, Calaveras is both Blue and Channel and Braunig is mainly Channel. Fayette is a Channel lake. Do you think it has something to do with the size of the lake?

I'm not familar with Fayette, but I agree with the others. Hmmm may be Braunig isn't big enough? I don't know, but I am going to try a little harder see if I can catch one on Braunig.
