I'm not sure who the best guide on fork is with drop shotting, but I know Rich is one of the best in the country at it with some great reads on doing it. Here's a link to his site check it out and see if any of the info he wrote about can help you. He taught me how to do it 5 yrs ago and its one of my favorite ways to fish now adays. RichZ

I have seen SNAP HOOK fish the dropshot. He could prolly teach you a trick or two.

Well I was waiting on someone to comment about that. On a few occations I have caught up to 30+ fish a day on it. The 30+ fish days have come off of a small lake at the mouth of pockets and creeks. I have found the bass there for years and they will hit anything for a couple of hours. I will throw a drop shot at them just to catch fish on it. A crank bait will catch them better and faster. If I fish the drop shot on other locations its 1 or 2 most of the time with a few trips being a little better. On many occations I hook into a fish it races to the surface one shake and its off. I also have a few friends who swear by it and fish it 90% of the time and I just don't get them, because I have other ways working better. I have put my time in with it and still not sold on it. However the setup just seems to be right for many situations, and I believe that if I had a guide or someone show me a few things to tweak I could then fish this with confidence. I hope this explains it.

Gary Paris is great with a drop shot. He taught me everything I know but he didn't teach me everything that he knows. LOL
