Went out there today, fishing was tough. lots of mamas either making beds or getting ready to. Wouldnt hit on anything though.

TFF sticker spotted on a Blue Honda though.

Good time to take the kids out though. Bullheads up to 15"/1.25 lbs hitting on chicken livers on the bottom with a slip sinker. Heck, fun for me too until the bass start cooperating.

Tonight I tried Colleyville Justice Center for bass. Threw everything I had. Nada

Got a 16" mudcat today, but the overall bite was slow. Also tried sight fishing for bass on beds but couldn't get them to bite

Never have caught anything at nature center...or seen anybody else catch anything when I was there.

Waste of time IMO

If your willing to fish "community only" subdivision ponds (aka only WE can use it but never do) there are some good bass action in Colleyville.

Fire station small cats always hit...only get bites from crappie at sunset/sunrise.

Justice center...Never caught anything there...saw one guy catch one.

Justice Center is a good place for bass; in my opinion, better than the fire station. Bass are larger at Justice Center

I fished the justice center and pond across the street on Sunday morning between say 10:30 and 1:00 and caught 8 LMB, mostly on a spinner, and one or two on a swimbait. The largest was probably 2 1/2 to 3#.

I caught 2 at the Colleyville Nature Center on Saturday afternoon, neither real big but still nice to catch!

FUN FOR THR KIDS/GRANDKIDS. Small/medium mudcats are tearing up chicken livers fished on bottom with slip sinker at the old Colleyville fire house. Nothing over 10-12 inches, many smaller, but pretty much a guaranteed bite.

I saw a fly fishermen out this past week at CNC. Only thing I saw him catch was a few blue gill - but I think that's what he was targeting.

My grandkids caught about 20 mdcats (and 1 turtle) in about an hour at the old fire station

Fished CJC tonight and got two decent lmb and one large blue gill - using my favorites for there: white rooster tail and chartruse roadrunner. Grass is starting to grow and they're hugging the shore and in the grass

If you're fishing for bullheads/channels (there are some good sized ones), I've found a big hunk of chicken liver fished on the bottom in the middle of the ponds, with an egg slip sinker is a good rig. To keep the liver on, I wrap a sandwich bag tie around the liver. Cats don't mind at all. It helps hold the liver on when you cast and prevents the cats from sucking it off your hook.

Why don't you rename this thread Colleyville? Seems like there's as much about the justice cennter and old fire station as there is about CNC. And, they're all within 10 minutes of each other. When one's not hitting, one of the others is.

Firestation is on Hall Johnson. Go east about a mile on Hall Johnson (from Glade) past the cemetary and you'll see the pond on your left. Park in the station lot. Justice Center. Again go east on Hall johnson from Glade. Turn right at the post office and go about 1/2 mile. There are 3 ponds there. Best I've found is the one right at the Justice Center (you'll see sign) It has a fountain in it.
