Ruidoso, Mescalero,Cloudcroft, all of it is absolutely beautiful country! One of the first places my son ever stood in snow up to his waist was in Cloudcroft! In April! Not too far from there is Capitan Gap Pass, another awe inspiring bit of real estate!

Been mule deer hunting up there several times, one of the most beautiful places on earth (to me). Never done any fishing up there but you may have changed that. It is truly God's country.

Been mule deer hunting up there several times, one of the most beautiful places on earth (to me). Never done any fishing up there but you may have changed that. It is truly God's country. You got that right,littlebass... I posted on my facebook page, while I was there "I love this place and I don't want to go home. In my opinion, Texas is a little overrated.." Boy I about got my Butt whooped for sayin that, with all the comments from friends!! HAHA! But none of them fools have ever been there. They are missin out!!

I spent many a day during vacations on the shores of that lake and in the stream that runs right through the middle of Ruidoso. I love those rainbows.
