Went to Lake Arlington today (Sunday). The water temperature in the upper (far south) section of the lake was 58; midlake near the west shore was 55.

Waxahachie this afternoon (Sunday).

Westernmost boat ramp 60
Mouth of creek 65
Between trestle and highway varied 68 to 72

Talked numbers of fishermen in the creek, but no crappie being caught by them or me. Water is very muddy.

What part of "uphold the constitution" don't they understand?

62-65 south end of Joe Pool in the creeks, only two really nice crappie, 4 sand bass and 2 Large mouth bass. Nobody else was catching anything either, water is still murky.

Was out at Ray Hubbard to today. Water temp on main lake started out at 55 at 7am. About noon went up into rowlett creek. Temp reached 60 at miller rd. At 4pm was 62 in rowlett creek. Got back out to the main lake and temp was 58 at 5pm. Hope yall had better luck than I did. I knew it was gonna be an off day when that wind was blowing out of the east leavin the boat ramp this mornin.

Thought I'd revise this thread. It's interesting to see the temperature changes on various lakes. Got a report from fishindawg on the Kickapoo area of Palestine for yesterday afternoon, temp was 57. I'll report on mid-lake shallows after I'm done tomorrow. Hope to have a good fish report to go with the temp report.

Wed morning I was getting 50.5 degree water way up Denton Creek in the back of Grapevine. Big drop in temp after the snow. By Thursday it was back up to 58 degrees.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
