Just got off the phone with Brid. Crappy reception so I may be a bit off. Brid and Jason drew the Gazebo swim. Jason is wobbly and looks like death warmed over but yanking in fish with a smile on face. Clearly hard core !
Brid had early big fish on calf manna method @ 34.3. Then someone spanked him with a 37.
Brid and Jason have 5 fish at 96 pounds. Jason scored his first fully scaled Mirror as well as a non-counting 30 lb grassie. They suffered two snags on big fish which has them in tears.
Brid's partner from last year (Jim maybe?) and his teamate have 8 fish at little over 100 lbs.
Current is pretty stiff. Big fish were crashing everywhere when they arrived but are apparently taking a nap now ! lol.
I'll call Brid in 90 minutes for an additional update.
PB Common = 36-8
PB Buffalo = 62-8
PB Mirror (fully scaled) 13-0
PB Flat Head Catfish = 44

Me and john have over 100 lbs on 5 fish with the biggest being 33.14

Brid and Jason have 7 or 8 fish for about 120#.
Jim and I have 5 fish at around 103 or so.
Rick (joepoolfisher) and his pard (John Foshee from Alabama) have 4 fish for about 101#.
Not to steal thunder, but Rick has a new PB. (I congratulated him early-Yesterday on the way down). i knew he would get it.
I missed my PB (33#12oz) by 4oz- First fish this morning was a 33#8oz Beauty.
Brid and Jason had a 34#3oz
The biggest fish I've heard of was caught directly across from us at the Baseball Fields by the team from Maryland(or New Hampshire). 37#1oz.
I'll post later when I can. Call or text me if you can't wait for an update. ;-)

OK, here's another update.
Jason and Brid just banked another 27 bring their total to a hair under 180. Jason also grabbed a baby buff at 18. Jason is apparently pissed that he took a header off his bike as he is posessed and has turned in to a fishing machine !
Things have slowed for Jim and Chad.
Brid heard that John Foshee and Rick Wilson have banked a few bigger fish but no idea on details. They drew the I-35 swim.
Overall, very tough conditions with very few teams catching much, if anything.
Should get interesting as Day One closes out.
Someone may want to post this on the Texas Forums. I suspect the folks over there are foaming and frothing at the mouth for an update as well.

David Moore just got one and so did Zack, conditions are terrible,Zack has been playing with dogs all day,,,,current is awful
have to fish in close as 6 ounces will not hold
