Does anyone remember those topwater poppers that when you popped them, it pulled a string out and the tail would vibrate?

Doug Hannon Snake Lures! I fell for the ads, ordered them, and they melted together in my tackle box, leaked all that goo through the bags and all over my tackle box and warped the plastic... In the winter!!!
I saw someone post about the banjo minnows. I have caught tons of pond bass on those as well as a few hydrids at Tawakoni on the big chartreuse ones. Does seem like a gimmick though but they work.

I bought one of those junkers too, threw the carp out of it and nary a bite. (even added the yum scent).

Berkley Gulp worms. They were on clearance for .50 a bag at walmart and I still felt like I got robbed.

Storm Kickn Shad! It has the action of a piece of cardboard. The kickn minnow is awesome, but this was complete garbage. Link to biggest piece of garbage ever

Helicopter lure...and yes I'm embarrased. Who was the spokesman for the Helicopter lure? He was a very nice seeming guy, spoke very well....was well-liked by many people. I can't think of WHO that was! Was that ......OBAMA????

I was so smitten with them that I begged my parents to buy them for me, LOL. I bought like 3 topwater frogs and 3 topwater shad that would vibrate and splash around when you pulled the string. Never caught anything on them for several years (gave up on them years ago). But I got bored this past summer and as a joke decided to tie one on, and I finally caught a bass with it! Wooohoo!  The ones I bought were made locally I think. This was 15-20 years ago though.
