I searched this and couldn't find any info from anyone who has actually used a set a few times. I'd like to know how well they work keeping dry and cutting cold wind. I know they're not Guidewear or BPS 100mph gear but they seem to be well made. Anyone using them?

I have used mine all season in some nasty weather, and for 1/3 the price of BPS, and totally effective, why buy a logo or name? The bibs also unzip from both top and bottom, which is very convenient..............<'///><

is this the raingear from academy? if so, how well does it work as a windstopper? I use my guidewear more for the wind than for the rain

I love my H2O Raingear. Can't compare to Bass Pro's or Cabela's mainly because I've never owned another brand.
I will say that everytime I've worn them, I've stayed dry and toasty warm. On coldest days I had a few layers below, but not a lot. Very good at cutting wind, no leaks to let breeze in.
Also very comfortable and flexible. Very happy with them, especially with the money I saved, still in my pocket.
Hope this helps, J

I saw the raingear the other day and it seems the be a pretty good product. If H2O put the quality in it as they have on their crankbaits life will be good and quite a bit cheaper...well and dry. I think I am going to purchase a set this week.

I have a set, I think it was around $150 for bibs and jacket. Mine do fine in the rain but let some wind thorugh, I just wear some layers under it and I'm fine.

I wish we had an academy close by that sells them. I live near longview and they don't carry them. Also do you know if there are color options for the gear? They were going to order me some but they said the only color was a light blue color. Wasn't sure i was ready to pay $150 and not like the way they looked.

They are more like a navy blue. I think they look pretty good.
