I saw where you mentioned that in that deal you fished and then I saw this post. I agree, I hope this is not a trend.

My husband and I also fished this. The TD threw one of my under fish back before I had a chance to see and said it touched the 14" line so it was over. TPWD states length limit is a 14-21 slot. Bass 14 inches and less or 21 inches or greater in length may be retained. Well I was always told that the best life leasons are ones that hurt or cost you money. LEASON LEARNED!!!!

WoW ! This is unfortunate. It is also a good benefit of this forum. I mean with this kind of communication it warns others and puts the offender on warning also, IMO. Is this club B.A.S.S. affiliated ? If so ,one phone call might put a stop to these shenanigans. I don't buy the "I need help calculating" possibility. I know I'm not a Texan but I am a bass fisherman.
Sometimes if everyone affected forms a circle of silence around the offender while maintaining eye contact it can be effective. Just saying.

If you cant figre a payout you have no business running a tournament!

I am not trying to start something but this really upset my 20 year old son the way they were handling the fish. I saw someone toss a fish when i was loading my boat but my son told me that all of them were given a air plane ride,, one of the (hope to get paid) winners my son said had a 10# fish. Good fish for Athens.

I would let the local Game Warden know. Even if they do pay out put them on notice that this could be fraud. Then they have to look into the matter.

So the TD sits around for 8 hours waiting for everyone to come in and cant count the money in that time? Sounds like you guys got screwed.

i bet the winner gets paid a little, and the 2nd place never surfaces... i bet no results ever get posted either.

If this is how he runs tournies he shouldn't be aload to run another.Not paying out after the event was bad enough (did people tell him they would send their entry fee in after they fished?..I think not!!), but to be tossing fish from 12 to 15 ft away from the waters edge is just lazy and someone that does not give 2 sh!ts about the fish. He was just doing it to make some money and I'm sure there will be people getting screwed out of some winnings from the sounds of this.

Yes it is, I just looked... Maybe he had some bills he needed to pay asap,,lol. But seriously he shouldve disclosed the way he would pay out before he excpeted money from people. Ive never herd of tourny's sending a check later. total bs.
