I have yet to find a line that compares to the quality of seaguar. 20# for jig and tx rig. 10-15# depending on where you are throwing your CB.

I recently bought 2 revo STX's both on Kistler rods from a guy for $150.00 each. These were the guys first baitcasters and after 1 trip to the lake and both backlashed so bad I had to cut it out he sold them. Lucky me, If you backlash don't give up. I suggest a heavy mono till you get the hang of it then go with 14 lb flouro. The heavy mono is easier to get un backlashed

There is only one line to use. Go with the Berkley Trilene 100% flourocarbon. 12lb on the cranks and 17 on the jig rod. 200yd spool and the price is right..

Just bought two new rigs,Shimano Calcutta CTE-200GT Reel, with a KISTLER ARGON 6'9" MEDIUM CASTING ROD, want to use for crankbaits, what line would you recommend for this. Also got a Shimano Calcutta TE 250 DC, with a Kistler Helium 7'6" Heavy casting rod, model He76HC. I haven't put either together yet, these are my first bait-casters, yea I am probably nuts, so what reels with what rods would you pair, and what lines on each? I am going to jig and pig one set up, and then the other for cranks.
Thanks for any help you can provide Please dont take me wrong but I judge from your question and set up choice that yove probably not been bass fishing as long as a lot of guys on here, and I would say youre overwhellmed by the the replies that all tell you to use this kind of line or whatever. I wouldve chosen a low profile baitcaster (as opposed to the barrel shape reel, just because they are much much lighter and easy to handle). But with what you have, use the longer heavier rod for jigs. I'd start with big game line from wal mart, 15-20 lb test for jigs and 12lb test for crank baits. I think you chose the perfect rods for each technique.

You've got some wonderful gear on cranking, if you wanna get deep with long long casts I use 10 lb bps flouro; light line goes deeper and casts farther, on your medium stick this would be great, keep the drag fairly light
I like 20 lbs flouro for flipping docks and pretty much everything else except the heaviest slop or wood this light line will get you the most bites, especially in clear water. this would work good with cranks around wood and rocks too
