how far can you go up with a boat? Is it easy to navigate? last week before the rain you could go past the second set of rapids and around the bend in a power boat. Now since the rain probably even farther. Keep an eye out for the shallow bars but it can definitely be done.

Went up river today and its trashed, and all the whites are gone for now, current is strong, lake will rise some. Maybe by the weekend they will be back, wouldnt waste my time till then. The whites are trying hard to spawn, the muddy flood water and trees that are falling in the lake keep beating them back, they dont like all that muddy water. Also now you can go way past the bend in a power boat. I went this morning hoping for some cleaner water by GC but didnt find any.
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

there saying its easy to navigate...........the water is high enough to not have to worry about all the stumps that are there............just the ones that floated into the main lake

All I know is the last few years the water has been to low for a boat very far. I would take my kayak and put in at GC, then its a 1.5 mile paddle to the rapids, or at least good wading water. This year, looks like their going to be in Youngsport if it clears up. This 70 degree weather is going to heat things up quick. Was going to check out main lake around cowhouse on Belton, but not going to pass up overtime. Will be out on Belton Thursday and Friday for sure. Blue alumacraft with 130 honda, no Coors cans though! Say hi

A friend put two full days up there this weekend in a kayak and only had 1 keeper white and some shorts to show for it. He did say the bite in the river is doing way better than main lake is.

Wow went up there at about 1100 today water looked beautiful if your an oompa loompa working at willie wonka's chocolate factory and all the trash in trees great stuff. Checked all the way to youngsport like it would change lol it did looked like a class three or four a little way down from the bridge wow rain sure jacked that great spot up for a couple more days look forward to fishing down there when it gets better looking my yak cant handle those speeds of water well it probably can but my fat butt cant. Keep the reports coming cant wait to get in there when its good. Jason
