There should be an enterprise in corpus that hass 4x4 jeeps, believe it or not, one year we were so desperate to get down there, we didn't have enough room in the trucks for everyone, we ended up renting an all wheel drive chrysler pacifica and took it loaded with two yaks on the roof all the way to the 33 mile marker, yes it got stuck quite a few times when down there, but we waited till low tide to make the drive down there, and cruised like 50mph on the hard pack, bottoming out hard the whole way. Bet we are the only ones dumb enough to attempt something so foolish. Worked out and we had a blast, the pacifica didn;t fare so well, was in pretty bad shape upon returning it to the rental agency.

PINS stands for Padre Island National Seashore, it is a long stretch of beach just south of corpus, great fishing.

LOL! I'm retiring from the Pensacola area and will be moving near Texas City. I'd gladly take the largest bass fishman's fish and use it for bait to catch kings out here.
